If you dont feel like going downtown, Uptown lounge is one of the nicer places to go on the Upper East Side. The lounge has a nice candle lit atmosphere and it is a good place to go for a date or a night out with friends. There is also plasma tvs around the bar in case you need to quickly check the score of the game.

They have an amazing martini selection and a good wine list. Happy hour specials have good deals martinis and sangria. I like to go on Wednesday night with my girlfriends for martini night where martinis are $6 all night long. The food is good too and the selection is extensive- I had the goat cheese pizza and my friend had the calamari.

It is usually busy but we were able to get a table without doing bottle service on Saturday night. There is outdoor seating too, so on a nice summer night you can sit outside and drink. Definitely worth stopping by if you are uptown.
