Wood Burning Fires in a Manhattan B...

Uncovered by spencerf on Mar 04, 2007

Review:

Who would have thought that there would be an Aspen-like lodge in the middle of Manhattan sporting real wood burning fires? I know I didn't believe it until being brought there by some friends. The Black Bear Lodge is one of the most unique bars in all of NYC and it is really fun. It's small, cozy, and outfitted with lots of old signs of skiing and wilderness scenes.

The drinks are fairly inexpensive ($15 for a six-pack of Natty Lights or PBR) and the bartenders and wait service keep them coming at a very fast rate. Nothing negative can be said about the Black Bear Lodge and I really recommend it to anyone looking to shake up his or her habitual visits to the same old scene.
